76 Chevy C10 Hydraulic Clutch Conversation

Hello everyone

I have a 76' Chevy C10 with an automatic transmission that I would like to convert to manual I already have an engine I'm pulling out of my older 71 Chevy that has a hydraulic throwout bearing setup and a Muncie M21 4 speed that I would like to keep, I really liked the set up. Has anyone converted over using a hydraulic throwout bearing instead of the factory 85 and newer hydraulic setup?

I did not use the 85+ stuff because people want an insane amount for the pedal set. I mounted a wilwood master on the firewall and bolted it to a manual linkage pedal. There are pics and details in the NV3500 swap link in my signature.

I got my clutch master and mounting kit from American Powertrain (their HydraMax line). Has an adjustable mounting bracket for the master. Works gret on my T56. I used mechanical clutch pedals (84 and older). You can see the master bracket in the pic.

That's exactly what I needed thank you very much for the pictures I have that exact wilwood clutch master so that will be perfect

Why not use the oem manual clutch setup? Its easy to push and gives great feedback unlike most hydraulics.

Only reason being is because the engine and transmission I have is already together with the right amount of shim for the hydraulic throwout bearing I'm using and I can't see a way I could use the factory setup with my hydraulic throwout bearing without separating the transmission, buying a new manual throwout bearing, new bellhousing and clutch fork and all the rest of the parts I would require
