Phoenix The Rusty Crusty '72 GMC 4x4
So, while doing spitfire, my 69 k10, my buddy who was helping me fell in love with old trucks. he tried buying mine to which i denied him. So, on a parts run for mine we found the truck he loved. A 1972 GMC k10 4spd, V8 truck. the truck is so factory it hurts, minus a faded yellow paint job that covers the factory green paint. We bought it for more than we sould have paid we later found out, but none the less we are saving it, because we got it running!!!
Never messed with a four eye before but it should be fun!!! Also going to be showing him this site! When we first saw it http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...06697728_n.jpg More pics of her. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...21321984_n.jpg |

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...30596352_n.jpg The interior had SO MUCH FOAM in it, all from the seat.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...11856640_n.jpg All loaded up about 20 minutes into the trip home when we decided to stop for some burgers, two cops pulled up and chatted about the truck, apparently they recognized it as a local truck, saying an old farmer wo passed away owned it. with the strange things we found in the bed and under the seat i can say that it was a farmer, like 15 pairs of boots in the bed. |

Cool looking truck, for sure needs a new bed how is the cab? Pretty cool find v8 4spd 4x4. What is that attached to the bumper in the middle of the grill?

Re: Phoenix The Rusty Crusty '72 GMC 4x4
That would be a spare tire rack . Hope you left the critters that were living in the seat where you got the truck.

Re: Phoenix The Rusty Crusty '72 GMC 4x4
So after a brief hiatus for school the truck now has a 4 inch lift, brand new brakes, and brand new 33s. She's not on her own weight yet t hough. Still have to put the exhaust on
|
Re: Phoenix The Rusty Crusty '72 GMC 4x4
So, the reason for a lift was a shattered front leaf spring. I have some more pictures coming!!
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...89447680_n.jpg Old, Crusty exhaust that was falling apart. Wouldnt work for our use. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...89032704_n.jpg So, in with a shiny new exhaust that is a little bigger, and has a proper exhaust. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...73260800_n.jpg Most of the exhaust installed, with a sneak peek of what is to come! |

She sits nice!!!! that lift kit with new tires really makes this truck sit right. while we had the front all apart we put new wheel bearings, a new drag link, new brakes front and rear and some other maintenance. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...78290944_n.jpg She sits tall, but not as tall as my k10 spitfire on 35s! |
