Making my own front bag plates?
 

Just wondered if anyone has made their own front upper bag plates?

I know they aren't too expensive, but....

I'd like to make my own if it's possible.

Anyone do it? Any advice? Pics?

I'm on a tight budget, and was thinking........

Cardboard template of the bottom of the crossmember @ the spring pocket area. Make it out of 1/4" plate & use GRADE-8 3/8" bolts on 4 corners through the crossmember 'lip' to attach it.

www.***************** - these guys will probably make whatever you want for relatively cheap. Cheaper if they can sell it to somebody else in the future.

I have a set of SD.com and ART plates. Let me know if you'd like for me to take some pictures with measurements.

I think it would just be worth it to order the SD.com plates. They are fairly cheap.

This may be a dumb question but in these pics it looks like yall cut away the stock bump stops off the lower control arm is this true and has anyone had steering issues after dropping this low with stock set up...

Yes the bumpstops are typically removed for bag clearance.
Yes, steering issues can arise @ 'dumped' or other heights vs where the alignment is done. They would be the same as a static drop @ ride height (since the alignment is done @ ride height).
