Feedback thru turn signal
I am getting electrical feedback when I turn the headlights on. It makes the left turn signal dash indicator glow green. It only happens when I turn the lights on. I also noticed the left turn signal isn't quite as bright as the right. I have a new forward wiring harness and new engine harness from Brother's. It seems like it's a ground problem but I have checked the connection many times and also removed all the paint where the harness wire grounds itself to the core support. My water temp gage doesn't work either now and it used too. If I use a test light and ground the water temp out, the gage then moves. Can anyone think of a ground I may have forgotten?

check and clean and WD40 the grounds in other places too like at the lights themselves, front and rear, time for housecleaning in the grounding department

My 71 had those syptoms once and I found the left front signal/parking light housing in the bumper was not grounded well to the bumper (loose bolts), I cleaned and tightened the assembly and the problem was gone.

Yes, as wierd as it sounds, a ground somewhere else, even far from the front, can cause some strange things to happen.

That is supposed to be an indivator of having a burned out bulb...30 some od years later, it does not always work like that.
Some where you have too much resistance...blown bulb, corroded socket, bad ground...all good places to start. ------------------ '69 G.M.C. 350/350. Cleaned all the sockets and put new bulbs in already. Checked all the existing grounds. Someone mentioned to me that the instrument cluster needs to be grounded too. Where is that ground wire? Everything seems to work before I replaced the wiring harness with a new one. I am sure I must have missed something somewhere. I also replaced the printed circuit board on the back of the gage cluster with a repro one.
