What have you guys found a good deal on while searching Ebay for truck parts? Let's see them!

My latest two are a NOS '66 only dark brown deluxe heater control, and a '66 only tach/air pressure gauge cluster.

I scored my whole truck on ebay for $1500. I was the only bidder.

The day we picked it up, straight out of the tobacco barn.

Good score on the Vacuum guage. Took me like 2-3 years to find mine. They are hard to find.

It's actually an air pressure gauge for trucks with air brakes, I'm going to use it for my air bag tank pressure gauge. I've had a harder time finding an air pressure gauge than vacuum gauges. There's a very nice restored vacuum gauge on ebay right now.

Had 2 air guages for like 2-3 years and I couldn't get rid of them. Just got rid of the last one a few months ago. I found it easier to find them then the Vacuum guages...weird.

I think stuff dissapears from the market when you're looking for it, and buyers dissapear when you're selling... that's my luck anyways!

My Ebay score was a little different then usual i made money off a part i sold!!
I bought this air and tach gauge at a swap meet for $125 and sold it on ebay for more then double my money, i then used the money to bag my truck instead of keeping the air gauge that i was going to use for my tank, i feel I scored in the long run!

I’ve picked up a bunch of parts from Ebay over the last 11 years. The items with asterisks were bargain priced, which was the main reason I made that specific purchase. I think most of this stuff shows up somewhere in my build thread:

*Covico steering wheel
*Cal Custom gas pedal
*Chrome emergency brake handle
*Chrome hood latch
*Chrome radiator baffles
Glove box decals
*NOS Sun Tachometer cup
Reproduction Sunpro tach head
Triple gauge under dash panel
Safety switch covers
Unity Spotlights
*Unity Fog Lights
*Unity back up lights
*4 speed bellhousing
71-72 Brake and clutch pedal pads
*NOS OEM Dana 4.09 ring and pinion set
*Mr. Gasket heavy duty chrome Dana 44 rear end cover
*NOS rocker panels
*NOS rear shocks
Corvette valve covers
*15x6 Mid–1960’s Dragmaster 5 spokes
*15x5 American Racing 5 spokes

*And probably the best bargain of all was this $75 mint condition GMC grille suitable for chroming. It has no dings, waves, or blemishes. (All the marks on top are fingerprints in the dust). I had it soda blasted and coated it with Picklex 20 over 10 years ago. It will probably get installed on the truck this summer:

Re: Post your 60-66 Ebay scores!

I've picked up some NOS bumper guards most recently, but the best deals I've been getting are on replacement parts.

I've purchased all of the following:

Moog Bushings
Timken Wheel Seals
Sway Bar brackets

All at substantial discounts over what the parts houses wanted. For instance, the wheel seals were $12.99 each from O'Reilly and $11.99 from Autozone. I got both of them from Ebay for $9.98 with free shipping. The other items were purchased with similar degrees of savings.

Since I'm usually in no hurry to get the parts, I've started comparing prices there on ALL parts before buying them locally.

A penny saved is a penny for another upgrade!

bought a 64-66 rust free hood with just some dents for $275 shipped
and a 1965 driver side rear stepside fender without spare tire indention for $250

both were from a guy in California. I was really happy to find that hood, its hard to find even one with little rust in louisiana.

Wow that pedal pad was certainly a rare find. I've only ever seen one on Ebay a number of years ago and it went for way more money than I could afford:

Most of all my literature comes from Ebay. I don't think Craigslist should be out of the running either. I just got the original 1963 A/C compressor bracket for my inline 6 250.

ebay: The used chromed bumper guards on my '65 c10.
(amusing aside : my avatar pic came from my photo shoot, right after I had put them on)

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/p...pictureid=3430

The big honkin' side mirrors came from another old truck guy on another old truck forum.

I also found this on ebay : Motor Truck Repair Manual - 29th edition
This manual covers mechanical specifications and Service Procedures on 1962-1976 model trucks of all makes.

I also have a radio delete plate, that I prolly don't need, but I got it cuz it was a great deal and I know how hard they are to find.

Searching for a clean cab, I found a whole clean truck on ebay (minus drivetrain) scored the whole truck for $1000 and ended up parting out my old project because every piece of this one was nicer!
