Gear lube for 2002 S10,5 speed manual trans

Having trouble finding a substitute for the GM recommended lube,P/N 9985648.
I was told that the Pennzoil Sychromesh oil,is the same.
What do Y'all think/recommend ?

Pennzoil will work.

I usually just order gm stuff from the dealer. You have an NV1500 if you have a 4 cylinder. You have an NV3500 if you have a 6 cylinder. The part numbers below may be superseded.

Ames oil also makes syncomesh fluid that works. I’m not sure of the cost it might be more than gm fluid.
