54 Chev 3100 trans swap

Will a later model SM420 bolt up to the torque tube on my 54? It has an original SM 420 in it and I have a later vintage SM420. The spline is the same 10 spline rear shaft. I added a pic of the one in the truck and the one on the cart. Thanks for any help here.
