wiring harness?

Hi,

i'm doing a frame off restoration. as a part of that i am planning to replace the wiring harness. Does anyone here have a recommendation from where to buy a pre-made engine harness of good quality?

its a 72 GMC jimmy 4x4, with aircon. no tach in the dash.

thanks a bunch!

American Auto Wire looks to be the current favorite not just for it's completeness for the $.

I got an AAW kit. Have yet to instal it (soon hopefully) but its top notch quality and upgrades you to modern blade fuses. You do need to enlarge the firewall hole for the fuse block though. Doesnt bother me any but might bother someone people...

Is this the american autowire kit that you recommend for a mostly stock Jimmy?

thanks for any help. I found the american autowire website mostly hard to navigate.

Ebay, AAW wiringharness.com, painlessperformance.com, etc. If you just want one stockish harness they're easy to find. AAW and painless have complete kits for the whole vehicle, but I think the require the correct crimpers and some work.
