4l80 adapter
I am putting a 4l80 in my 1985 k30 . I have a 241 transfer case to put behind it . I am having a hard time finding a adapter to connect the two . Are they available?

Re: 4l80 adapter
I looked at putting a 4L80 in my 89 suburban. I read that the adapter in my truck bolts to the 4L80 but a spacer is needed. What does your adapter look like? I thought all turbo 400 had the same output flange and shaft as the early 4L80's.

the 4l80-e has a tiny bit different ring cast in the adapter were the BIG square cut o-ring sits from a th400 . also th400 adapters have feet forward for the mount to bolt on the bottom and these hit the case of a 4l80-e . true 4l80-e adapter has feet rear word .
th400/round 205 adapter = pic 1 and feet forward . 4l80-e/round 205 adapter = pic 2 feet rearward . i know not for 241 case but shows the idea . |

then that difference i was talking about and a spacer ring a guy made for his combo .
i do also know in the 205 adapter family the th400 unit is a tad shorter/thinner than the 4l80-e unit . so the spacer serves 2 things . spacer to make this up and conversion of the ring size difference . |
