Working through plow installation
 

Hope I can post this Picture to start.
Still mounted too low on this 83, was too high on the 82.
Trying to make it a simple disconnect
Think I am on the right path, using receiver hitches attached to truck. 2x2 square tubing on the plow.
Getting a little panicked as it is starting to snow and I don't see this clearing down to gravel.

Yikes, that's quite a contraption. I hope you can make it work. Nobody has ever been able to improve on a Fisher plow. Used Chevy plows are dirt cheap in my area. Good luck and show us some action shots when you get it going.

I have a complete plow mount for one of these in NJ if it will help but shipping may be a pain

I really can't tell by the pic's how the receivers are attached to the plow frame. Is it possible to flip the receiver so it's lower on the frame?

keep it tucked up high and tight .

and read the info in the links to help you set the a-frame hight and angle first then build off that to the truck .

my pics from before dont use them to much as my truck has around a 3.5"-4" lift kit in it i put together with specific parts and made it work for me and my tastes . so the height of my frame to the ground look huge .

and here is some pics of my old truck . same plow same k30 style truck . my a-frame should have been lower a round 3 inches in the pics of mine on the truck . if the a-frame is up to high like mine when angled the blade pics up 1 corner and wont scrap the surface 100% . and here is a few pics of the rareish hard to find mm1 & mm2 truck side units to help give you a idea on were they had there quick mount stuff hanging .

This 82 has a lift and thus making the installation more challenging. The truck being higher makes it difficult to see the plow. Definitely would like it closer to the truck. This is a work in progress and will be a great learning experience. Rusty, an original set up would be great but I would expect the lift again could be a problem. One thought I have with this set up is I may be able to have a quick connect which to add a winch, with it going into the two receivers.

both my old and new were lifted the same . frame work went on as if stock .

keep plugin away you will get it . and read up on the directions links i posted up . the western one has good height info to set at .

Thanks, been reading, work in progress, just need to get through this season and then perhaps more than fine tuning over the summer.

Got it up higher. Had a little snow last night so thought I would give it a try.
Will need to get it closer to the truck, and it is sagging as it is cobbled together, but if we a snow dump it will clear the driveway. Still a work in progress.
