Welcome.

Besides the obvious, bed, tailgate, tail lights, I would expect rear wiring harness, fuel tank filler neck and a ground strap. (if this last one is not already there, add one)

What he said above. Best bet find a truck and swap over. By the way, they do not reproduce the stepside filler neck hose as far as I have been able to find out. If you don't have a good hose from a donor vehicle, you may have to see if there is some place that can get you something that can be modified to work.

Re: 84 square body

For the 73 and up trucks, My impression is that step sides had wood floors where fleet sides had metal floors. Somebody correct me if im wrong. Both are available at LMC and such.

Stepsides are rare.

If it wasn't so far, I might be wanting to try to get it [edit: the stepside bed that you take off] from you - assuming it was a LWB.

I tried to order a brand new one [stepside pickup] in 1979 (K-20 with 292-6 and SM465). The dealer just laughed at me. Well, we can order it for you but it will cost $3,000 more than something on the lot.

GMPP erod engine.

It was designed, and certified to pass carb inspection.

There are other ways, that are cheaper. But none will be easier..

Not totally correct, there was the option of a wood bed floor in fleetside longbed. Here is one recently posted: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-Chevro...-/333146946896
