Anything is possible for short term but personally I wouldn't just because the rating is pretty low.

My opinion is just that.... But, 27" tire is pretty short for a dually/HD app. Is that the tallest you can go?

At best, that's likely a passenger car tire so the load range is the issue once the 2 tires in the rear start flexing (which they will). The front's would prob survive a normal life around town.

The concern would be extended trips under heat/pressure w/the extra loading. Load range tires for HD apps are about 3K each. At 1500#, that's a big reduction. I wouldn't go less than 30% difference so 2100# @ the minimum. The fronts are not so much the issue. The concern of tire flex in the dual positions under extended heat & loading is what would be on my mind.

Also, most reputable shops won't mount a non-load rated tire on a dually/HD wheel application.

thanks scoti thats the info i was looking for!
the tires on the rear now are 215 85 16 @2300#
front are 235 85 16
just wanted a lower profile to bag for when i bag
it its easier to load and unload....
but i will keep looking for a taller tire
with more load range
