I figure this could be a good learning opportunity. Let's post up parts and pieces and name the application. Here's one: where does this rubber piece attach?

These are the body-side ground screws that I'm familiar with - not all used a star washer but that's just my experience. Here are examples including that for the ground for the AC harness at the condenser box and those at the rad support, which differ from that below: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...1&postcount=54
The longer sheet sheet metal screws above were used for two applications that I'm aware of..... |

These are the screws used for the fan ground at the AC box and examples of those used for grounds at rad support. Replated in clear zinc.

Here's the screw used for the battery clamp on my blue 72 blazer - similar to rad support ground screws but longer.

Screws in post #5 are correct for mounting the console to floor pan and also used for some attachment points for AC and heater box - in cab side maybe?

Here's an obscure part (set of 4) I received in a parts lot. I honestly don't know exactly where these go. Spacer for what the rear lamp lens?? Between screw and lens?

|
Re: Let's play name that part, bolt, harness, screw....

Subject came up 1/2 a year ago. Was a nice lead by the 67-72 encyclopedia. Pretty sure Deadhead knows, so he can't participate.:HA!

Are those spacers for taillight bezel screws. Two lower on both sides.

Re: Let's play name that part, bolt, harness, screw....
Parts manual says spacer for rear lamp - shape would conform to a screw. But where?? I wish these were spacers for the 72- only door panel screw. I'll confirm but shape doesn't seem right and I think there a wee bit too small. Anyone have a pic of another that illustrates location?

Don't have them handy, but I believe the 1/4" version for the 71ish panels are chrome plated or stainless. |
