Only ones I could find tonight. First one is a PTO winch. Second one was built into the frame, behind a stock bumper, which had a hole cut in it for the winch rope. Better approach angle if I remember right.

is that a warn winch bumper or did you make it?

Burt4x4 02-09-2009 12:36 PM

Re: 67-72 winch bumpers

No, not the Warn one. I would have destroyed the Warn one by now hahahha

This one was made by:
http://www.kenmtn.com/html/wincher.asp

This one is like the 2nd one they ever made for our trucks, this was back in 1999 and the design they use has changed over the years so I have no clue what the current bumper would look like.
I did have to modify the mounts to make it fit right and added some gussets.

bumpers are not that hard to make!

as you can see this is a work in progress. i am working on one for the front too but i have to get my truck back together aswell. it is schedule 40 4inch that i built to kind of look like a ranch hand longhorn bumper with a few changes, like the winch mount and the skirting

vtblazer you wouldnt have the design for that bumper anymore would you? do you think it could work with the 71/72 bumper with turn signals? I really and I mean really like that idea!

Thanks guys, it was one of my favorite mods, the looks were killer & the functionality was 110%.

Wildstreak - yes it fit with a later bumper, although it added complications due to the tube work behind it hitting the blinker housings.

Re: 67-72 winch bumpers

I have seen several Ranch Hand types on Dallas CL recently. They range from $200 to $500 and would need to be modified but could be pretty cool. The $200 one looked brand new, he had taken it off as he was trading in the rig and put the stock back on.
