2WD Blazer

I currently have a spare 2wd c10 chassis from a parts trucks and Recently a pretty nice 72 blazer went up for sale. I was wondering if the c10 chassis will fit under the 72 blazer?

the wheelbase on the blazer frame is 104". a short c10 frame is 115" and a long c10 frame is 127". so a cut down is needed and you will need to fab some body brackets. search this site for more info and good luck with your project!

I step cut a swb 69 C10 frame down 11 inches under the cab that worked great....
Bought some frame brackets from 1 Rippen6 and the blazer tub fit like a charm...

So in theory, the lwb frame can work if I got 8 inches from the rear and 15 inches from under that cab?

more like 23" under cab (127-104=23).

So just 23 inches from under the cab. I thought 8 inches from the rear had to be cut like the lwb to swb conversion.

Re: 2WD Blazer

some states make you title and tag the frame and blazer as two vehicles. so thats two of everything

for those who used a lwb truck frame for this conversion, could the attached picture be used as a reference for the cut? Obviously the measurements will be changed to accommodate the wheelbase. Theoretically if the 12" is changed to 23" it should work

The instructions from the lwb to swb were to:

From the upper rear hole, measure forward 4 ½". Make a mark, and using a square, draw a vertical line. From that line, measure forward 12" and mark. Then from that mark, measure forward another 12". Now, find the center of the frame rail top to bottom. They are about 6" tall, so the center should be 3". Make a mark at the front and rear lines, then draw a straight line front to rear connecting all three vertical lines. The idea is to remove a 3" tall x 12.

The rear cab mounts can now be reinstalled back onto the frame. Measure 12" back from the original rear holes and make a mark. Using a square, draw a verticle line at that mark. Now measure down from the top of the frame to the center of the top original hole. Make a mark at that measurement on the vertical line you just drew. Measure 12" back from the original front hole and repeat as above. Remember, the top of the bracket needs to set .150" above the top of the frame rail, a touch more than 1/8". Drill the holes to 7/16".
