Shock Recommendations

Looking for shock recommendations for my 2000 GMC RCSB Z71. This is my daily driver and I know it being a 4x4 Z71, as well as it being so short that I can expect a little bit of a rough ride but I'm looking to try and smooth it out some. Not necessarily looking for it to ride like a car but I would like to make it a more comfortable ride. All suspension is original other than a set of keys in the front. Any recommendations you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated. So let's hear your thoughts.

Bilsteins. Hands down. I'm running the second set now (got the heavy duty version this tune around) on my '05 GMC 1500 crew cab. Night and day from stock shocks or parts store Monroes, etc. Handle great, ride smooth, and can handle plenty of towing. I'm also running Bilsteins on my '65 Bel Air wagon. Well worth the extra money.

Bilstein 5100's and remove your front sway bar. My HD rides very well with bislteins and no sway bar. It leans a little bit more in turns but rides so much better. If you tow or haul weight often id keep the sway bar on or have it handy to reinstall.

If you lower the front or put the factory keys in, it will ride a ton better. It rides like a dump truck with the bars cranked up that high, And all the keys do is allow you to crank it higher than the factor keys will allow.

Also a vote for bilsteins. Best shock in the world.

I went with Bilstein 5100s on my Tahoe and it was a huge difference. I got mine at Rock Auto.
