Calling electrical wizards
 

So I've finished my ls swap and it runs great. Problem is my fans are not kicking on. Did some looking and it's burning up the two 30 amp fuses (either side of the 3 amp fuse in picture). My fuse block was put together by the guys who did my harness. I'm running windstar fans and factory fan harness wired directly to the respective positive leads coming out of my relay/ fuse block. Ive read that the windstar fans run at 30 amps but I'm guess they've got a much bigger draw upon start up. I would like to retain the fuse block set up and my fans since they're brand new and mounted cleanly. So, what are my options? I'm a electrical newb... is it possible to get a larger relay and wire that to the fans and have them triggers by the positive leads from the existing block? Helps appreciated!

Can you wire in two fusible links in place of the fuses. How is the wiring holding up to the fuses? I assume it's OK because the fuses blow before the wire is damaged. It's puzzling that if the system is a direct transplant from the windstar that it should be blowing fuses.

Check your relay wiring and make sure that your ground wire is going to 85 and not 86 on the relays, especially if they are diode protected.
