1983 SWB frame, fit a P10 body
2 Attachment(s)
I have a 1983 SWB lowered roller frame. I would like to put a P10 body on it or does it need a full size frame? Let me know if this needs to go on another forum.

frame should be plenty strong enough...difficulties may be with body mounts and wheelbase and track width...not sure what you mean by fullsize frame..what you have in pics is a fullsize frame..

I was under the assumption that the short bed frame is shorter than the long bed frame.

oh ok...I see what you mean...yes a swb is shorter than a lwb....but both are considered full size...

Re: 1983 SWB frame, fit a P10 body
your p10 has a wheelbase around 102" and a swb has around 117.5" wheelbase...no matter if you use lwb or swb your gonna have to shorten the frame to use it...will be a cool project though..what about the width though...you might be better off with a s10 frame and running gear..
the only thing I can find on width is a guy looking for a shipping quote..he stated the p10 is 6ft wide... |

Somebody say stepvans...I like stepvans.
And yes, 102” wheelbase. The closest you’ll get, C10 frame wise is the 69-72 blazer. They had 104” wheelbase. The 73-87 blazer is 106”. I haven’t decided if I’m going to do a trailing arm swap or a four link set up. |
