The "Six-Two re-do" (All done by family and friends...and me.)

Well, not a total redo, but some rust repair and a paint job. Cab floor and rockers were pretty bad. Had some surprises hiding under the carpet. Had a little on the 'dog-leg' too. Here's some pics. My cousin did this work for me...

Back in 2000-2001 when I first did the truck yellow, I replaced the driver's fender with an foreign 're-pop'. It never fit correctly on the front part. Here's our solution to that...

My budget solution for the seat. I've had good luck with this stuff in the past... I'm pleased with the results.

That's where I am at as of today. The grille is down in El Paso getting rechromed. Bumpers and things are still in good condition.

In the next few weekends, we'll be working on the exterior. I'll be posting pics as we go...

A lot of these pics are right side up on my PC, but turned on their side on here. What's up with that?

Since this is a 're-do' thread, I figured I'd post the rear diff I re-did recently. The old one was whining. Scored a 'new' one on Craigslist for pretty cheap. Cleaned her up, swapped in 5-lug conversion axles, relocated the saddles. All new brake hardware, new brake shoes, new seals, wheel cylinders and brake lines.

I was worried too! I knew I had some rust peeking out here and there, but never knew it was that bad until I pulled the carpet up.

Thanks!
