The truck is taped up. We put plastic over the bed and the top so that overspray wouldn’t get on them when we paint it.

Re: 1970 Chevy C10 pickup
That’s exciting man! Good luck! With my luck that overspray would find its way through and create issues for me. I can’t wait to get to the stage where you are!

Re: 1970 Chevy C10 pickup
Man I like that look almost enough to duplicate it myself. I’m kind of settled in white though. Hmmmm.
Great work! |

The truck has been done since Thanksgiving but i haven’t had a chance to post about it between baseball and keeping my grades up. We took the original instrument cluster and cleaned it up and painted it black but we didn’t like how it looked. So we decided to paint it blue.

We got tired of the bucket seats in the truck. We already had the bench seat that was in it originally in it. When we uncovered that seat, there were several springs missing on the driver side of the seat. Dad did some work and managed to weld the springs back on. We ordered the cover from Classic Industries.
|
Re: 1970 Chevy C10 pickup
Nice, the bench looks much better.

The door panels that are on the truck are not original. They were given to us by IronCanine. They had wood grain in them and we decided to change that. We used black vinyl and stuck it down on the wood grain. The vinyl began to come off after a couple days so Dad bought a strip of aluminum and had "Chevrolet" cut out by my Mom to use as a stencil.

Re: 1970 Chevy C10 pickup
Awesome door panels! Truck looks darn nice!
