Resistance wire removal

1 Attachment(s)
I should have posted sooner, but now that I broke the spade connector, thought I should ask; what is the best way to remove the resistance wire from the bulkhead connector at the firewall?
Next question might be, what is the sticky goop used as sealer?

Thanks!
Jim

Squeeze the terminal with needle nose pliers and push it out the back of the connector. The sealant was a very minor amount on my connector and was easy to remove. I don't think it is important to put back. There are connectors all over the vehicle that don't have that sealant on them, including in the engine compartment.
