Vehicle transport
Looking for reasonable transport company to pick up a truck for me in North Dakota and deliver to NC. Would like to skip the broker and go right to the actual transporter if possible. Have considered making the trip myself but would prefer to have it shipped.
Anyone have any suggestions or input?? thnaks |

Re: Vehicle transport
I used Reliable for my 63 C10 panel and they were top notch in every way. From now on I'll pay more and worry less.......

Re: Vehicle transport
I did contact Reliable but was told that "North Dakota was not a shipping lane they used"
I was able to find a transporter and it is on the way to me. I would guess be here first of the week. Looking forward to seeing it in person |
Re: Vehicle transport

Thanks guys for the transport input
I ended up using a broker and got it here faster than I expected Not sure what I am gonna do with it yet but didn't want to pass up the opportunity to own a 60 model 4 door truck Don't think I will get the chance again and actually surprised I was able to get one |
Re: Vehicle transport
I always use uship.com for my vehicle transports. Check 'em out next time.
|
Re: Vehicle transport
I started my search at Uship and posted a listing for it
All the bids were approx. $500.00 over what I paid finding a broker on my own It is a good website and easy to use just didn't work out for me |
Re: Vehicle transport
Do you want to give a shout out for who you used. Maybe for some of us will use in the future.

Re: Vehicle transport
The broker I used was Executive Auto Shippers
located in Monroe IA I was dealing with Laura Whitaker A+ service and very affordable and easy to work with |

He gave me some good leads but all were open carriers I found a guy and it will be here on the 20th Thanks for the tip |
Re: Vehicle transport
Beware of guys that are only brokers half-heartedly trying to find a spot on a truck and make a few bucks. If they or the driver fail its hard to get your money back. Good references (hopefully you get some here are a must). Of the larger transporters I like Reliable. I wouldn't let Passport (Pisspoor) deliver a bicycle.

Re: Vehicle transport

I found a Hot Rod hauler works for some of the big guys..... George Poteete and others Good references and ON time !! |

Re: Vehicle transport
hi guys,i found some old info here regarding transporting vehicles and wonder if there's anybody with any recent experience with a transport company they could recommend?i have a 72 3/4 ton big block cheyenne super in Ogden,Utah and had planned to fly out and drive it home to Nova Scotia.i can't go anywhere with the covid mess and the border between Canada and the U.S closed.i can wait,no hurry but there's no telling when things will improve or the border re-opens.i thought i'd look at having it hauled somewhere,if things are still closed up by july or so.i have friends in Newton Falls,Ohio if i got it that far, then it wouldn't be so far away whenever i could go get it,or if i could find someone in Bangor,Maine to look after it,it would only be about 6 hours away, when the border is open again.a real mess but could always be worse so there's no panic.any advice or leads would be appreciated.take care.thanks.Greg

Re: Vehicle transport
I was in a similar situation last year. Bought a 66 c10 in Sacremento last Feb was hoping to drive down and haul it back in spring to Edmonton but covid hit waited almost 6 months hoping borders were gonna open but not a chance . Seller started complaining abit was in his back storage yard at his shop so I went on U ship.com . Within 30 min I had a local trucker contact me said he was coming back empty. We worked out a price and was shipped pretty much to my door . I had another local trucking company lined up before I went on Uship.com but I got tired of waiting on him as he was waiting to go that route with a load

Re: Vehicle transport
Hi Greg here.thanks for the info.i was on USHIP.COM as well last night.i did get 3 quotes this morning but very expensive.i'm in no hurry and the guy in Utah that has my truck is not pushing the panic button.i did buy another truck from him as well years ago and i know he can babysit it,i just want it home.i went to get the last one i bought from him but can't right now of course.i am,as i said in no hurry so maybe someone will contact me with an empty truck heading east or needing another vehicle to fill a space.i do have friends in Newton Falls Ohio,so even that far is a whole lot closer to home.it'll work out.the search continues.thanks a million.
