Spotlight is working know. The reason for the short circuit was in this case not the switch, but thank you again for the advise. The reason was a corroded inner bar, therefore the full axial movement was not possible and the lamp was wrong assembled. The rear contact was collided with the gear key.

So a little bit work on the heads. They are already resurfaced, because of concavity. In the outer area 0.3 mm (0.011811") removed. Have collected some pictures especially for beginners to imagine.
Cylinder heads 3991492 ( Inlet valve diameter 2.02 inch /Outlet valve diameter 1.60 inch & screw- in rocker arms, straight plug,complete, GM 3987376) Casting date L96 9 = 9. L= Dezember 6 = 1964,1974 Chevrolet teased the aftermarket in the mid-to-late ‘70s, first with over-the-counter service replacements like the 3991492 head |

Measurement of the hole for the temperature sending unit, guessing 1/2 NPT, will show evidence later.

Insvestigation where to measure the valve shaft ( Approx, 1.5" of the shaft is in the chamber and the valve guide is round about 2" long. Differences between several instruments. Use the micrometer therefore (3 Positions all 0.3414")
