Spotlight is working know. The reason for the short circuit was in this case not the switch, but thank you again for the advise. The reason was a corroded inner bar, therefore the full axial movement was not possible and the lamp was wrong assembled. The rear contact was collided with the gear key.

Nice score! :metal: Where did you find that? Is it in Germany yet? What are your plans for a set of cylinder heads?

Morning Brian,
still in Chevyland, but ready to go. Found a new car enthusiast. At the moment looking for a shipping company.

Plan is to restore the engine as an exact copy of my existing original one, means no electronic, no plastic, no chrome, all in 1967 spirit. :metal:

Heads have to be the 492 one

So a little bit work on the heads. They are already resurfaced, because of concavity. In the outer area 0.3 mm (0.011811") removed. Have collected some pictures especially for beginners to imagine.

Cylinder heads 3991492 ( Inlet valve diameter 2.02 inch /Outlet valve diameter 1.60 inch & screw- in rocker arms, straight plug,complete, GM 3987376)

Casting date L96
9 = 9.
L= Dezember
6 = 1964,1974

Chevrolet teased the aftermarket in the mid-to-late ‘70s, first with over-the-counter service replacements like the 3991492 head
