Upper molding installation

2 Attachment(s)
Hey Guys,
I am getting ready to install the upper molding/trim on my '69 suburban. What is the best way to do it? I will need to buy the clips from a vendor or should I do the 3M tape method? The holes are already there so clips would be OK I just dont want to scratch the paint up.
Any suggestions for the best method?

Since the holes are there, I would use clips. They will hold the trim flush to the body.

I've seen people use blue painter's tape prior to installing the clips. It should help with keeping the vehicle from getting scratched.
