re-powering the blazer
1 Attachment(s)
i really don't want to throw a bunch of parts at my 25 year old motor so I've been looking at crate motors to go along with my 700R4
Any suggestions ??? |
Re: re-powering the blazer
I've had multiple Ram-Jet 350s and have loved them. Great torque, great mileage and all around easy install.

Re: re-powering the blazer
At some point I suspect i'll need a new engine in mine. My upcoming projects in no particular order (apart from first one) for the next few years:
- FIRST - Check hubs and entire driveline to make sure its all in good condition and efficient (ie allegedly free hubs aren't turning front driveline and costing MPG or damaging stuff) - New gauge cluster - Rack n pinion steering - Fitting double stick shifter for NP 205 (do people use front wheel drive for road driving with this fitted?) - 7004r tranny for decent mpg - New engine , maybe if needed. |
Re: re-powering the blazer
I love the Ramjet in mine, but the good ole LS swap is a proven winner with lots of support.
