couple of questions
 

I see alot of 67-72 short beds for sale & they call them short wide ,& some of them just short bed , is there a difference.? also i remember as a kid my dad had a 67' 1 ton work truck and the seat was all ripped up & we went to the junk yard & got one out of a pickup not sure if it was a half or 3/4 ton , but it was a 69' or a 70' & the seat was about a foot shorter than the 1 ton , was the cab of a 1 ton bigger.? Welcome. Basicly they are the same. Some also say short narrow to say short step. Even short fleet for a short bed. Just what people get used to using. As far as different sizes of bench seats I can't comment between the larger 1 tons. But I have heard some cab parts like rocker panels cab corners are different but don't know to be fact.

Short being the step side - short wide being the fleet bed.
Not sure about the cab sizes but I don't think they were different unless they were "bigger" like C30s, 60s, etc...

I would be careful about making assumtions when someone just says "shortbed". I have seen "shortbed" used for a shortbed stepside and for a shortbed fleetside. USUALLY though, if a truck is a stepside, people will say that. Just be aware that it mostly depends on the person. Oh yeah, narrow = stepside, wide = fleetside...I have seen those terms used also.

the cabs (and seat) for a one ton are the exact same as a 1/2 ton.
I've always heard short or long refer to the length... then fleet or step for the bed type.
Never heard a single person say wide or narrow untill i came here, and it still sounds goofy. My Chevy dealer about peed himself when I asked him about that one.
