You are right Special-K. I think this is why this thread may be so popular. More guys need to post pics too.
My full spid says D29 R/V Mirror - JR-L & R |
Re: Mirror thread
A pic with the spid code would be cool for sure

Re: Mirror thread
That looks really good! Thanks for posting the picture. I'll have to see about getting one of those. The right side sport mirror is fairly useless as it is.

Re: Mirror thread
Some aftermarket 71/72 mirrors get loose and floppy in short time. I hope you got a good one with the added weight of the spot mirror. Not trying to br negative, I think it's a great and useful idea. Just beware of low quality mirrors

Just put these sport style mirrors on mine, was worried about the lack of visibility from the passenger side that has been stated. I got the "objects are closer than they appear" version, i.e. convex, and can see just fine. Got them from ClassicParts.com.

Re: Mirror thread
Here are 2 threads on DG4 (and D29 if painted) mirrors where I contributed things I've learned. I'm too lazy to repeat the info here.

Can anyone tell me what kind of mirrors these are on my 69?

Re: Mirror thread
Aftermarket. I can almost remember the company name. The adjustable upper arm is a dead give away. Western Auto sold them as well as many other stores.

Re: Mirror thread
Good point. The '70s square bodies also ran the bolt-on head and by the '80s they went with integrated arm and head
