Will a '68 front fender fit a 1972?
 

Title says it all, will a 1968 front fender (outer) fit a 1972 without any modification?

I have heard it won't but wanted to be sure.

Sometimes the best way to figure this out, is checking a good parts vendor web site catalog. Here's a direct link to the page that should clear it up. Looks like it depends if is a Chevy or GMC too http://www.brotherstrucks.com/products.asp?dept=355

Chevy 67 and 68 fenders are the same, the hood and core support are particular to those years also. Chevy 69 to 72 fenders, hood, and core support are particular to those years. 67 to 72 GMC fenders and hood are the same as the 67 and 68 chevy but the core support has provisions for four headlights and are particular to the GMC. So, if your 72 is a Chevy the answer is no, but if it is a GMC then the answer is yes. Make sense? :lol:

Ah ha! According to that, only 1969 to 1972 will fit a 1972 Chevy....THANKS.

I suspected that was the case but wanted to make sure.
