I like the ez on and off of the disc guard on the dewalts and the switch.
They really are hefty.
I worked in a shop that almost exclusively used metabo's talk about being spoiled.
The shop I'm at now uses the Dewalt and a few ryorbi's.
I like the switch on the Dewalt way better than the ryorbi's.

But in the fatigue dept. I cant hold the Dewalt nearly as long as any of the others.

At home I have a porter cable and a black & decker+ few $10 jobbys.
The first two are identical, my hands are limited and beat and these two have real easy to hold grips on them.

None of them run as smooth and vibration free like a metabo if you dare to pay up.

Absolutely.

Just cause I had too use it today here is a pic, like I said only reason I like these is for the easy for me to hold grip.
These are terrible for no trigger lock when off, put em down on something and a chance they turn on...not good but I deal with it

I had three but pulling this one out I remembered the red b&d
Munched a gear.....

when i worked in a fab/ pipe fitter shop -i rebuilt several grinders & had lts of guys that liked the paddle switch /rotated 90 degrees -so the paddle is on top ! they said it was easier on the hand /less fatigue ??

I've started seeing metabo grinders showing up in pawnshops lately. so far I've picked up a 4 1/2 and a 5
" quick change for around $50 each. the rest of them I've seen were $100+

Yeah ..pawn shops around here are full of slightly warm tools...especially when a local construction job winds down...
