the red truck in Post #5? that is not split booms ? Sure looks like a twin boom holmes.
(at least the booms themselves do )

Also any more info on the red medium Duty at the top of post #23 ? that is a sweet looking ride.

Here is the SPID. Note there is no DRW option listed and we are not sure what the special paint color is yet.

Now back to our regularly scheduled program...

Re: Tow Truck/Rollback/Hauler Pics

I would love to have that for my 'collection', even have a 402 for it, of course it came with a six or a small block, I've got a real good 350....What am I saying! No, no I don't want it, I can't, I mean I shouldn't...but it is cool and would look good in....No, stop, leave me alone! I feel sick....I better go to bed.
How far is it to California anyway?

No,that's my wrecker and it has a Wreckmaster rig and a single boom. I've had that other picture a long time and don't recall where I got it from...sorry.

Hey Brad, you realize your truck is a single wheel C/20 that someone put a C/30 rear and springs under when they stretched the frame and built that body, right? A truck from the factory with dual rear wheel option also got the spacers and Budds on the front.

That would be a cool engine in there. Numbers matching would matter for a '72 with a 402 listed on the SPID. But,this truck is a '67

I really like the 71-2 nose better than my 69. Might have to change mine.

Traded a 1947 F**d 4 door sedan for this back in August. Still a work in progress as we're new to the idea of Chevy trucks. But we REALLY like'em!

http://i688.photobucket.com/albums/v...-42-18_683.jpg

We want to use it to haul THIS around to various places where it would be impractical (read: too far) to drive.

71/72s need something done about turn signals with a push bumper where 67-70s don't. I kinda like 69/70s for tow trucks and plow trucks. I've even swapped to that grille on a '71 plow truck. On my '71 tow truck I have the factory signals behind the grille in the upper corners fastened to the surround.

Took this today, sorry its so hard to see he wasn't home, and i wasn't going to stroll up in there without permission, but its a 70. I was offered it once and i declined, it got a weird tow unit. Once i have some cash, i may go see if i can buy it. it was 350 4 speed he told me, was a great truck untill he got a flatbed and parked it where it sits.
