Temp and Battery gauge don't work

Working on a 1972 Cheyenne with factory tach and gauges. Temperature and Battery gauge are not working. Does this sound like the PC ? If so , is there an easy way to verify ? Thanks !

Re: Temp and Battery gauge don't work

Dig up the wiring diagram on this site and follow it.
People babble nonsense about the battery gauge. It measures the difference between battery voltage and alternator voltage. More + battery, bad, more + alt good. No current is measured.
There are little inline fuses at the fender/gill intersections you might check.
Check the V input at bothe sides w/ the connector unplugged.

Re: Temp and Battery gauge don't work

Thanks franken , inline fuses were blown , temperature gauge and wiring are good . When I ground the wire the gauge works . My guess is that someone has installed the wrong sending unit. Checked temperature with a infrared gun and that's all good . Thanks again !
