So now it was time to plumb it. I dumped my pile of hoses on the work bench and started measuring and figuring

I ended up using the feed line from pump to booster from the 2005 Chevy 2500 i pulled at the junkyard. it required no modifications. this line was all metric.

It is always a good idea to blow out junkyard lines. A plugged line can cause all kinds of trouble

I used the late 80's 1 ton line for the feed back to the steering gearbox . I cut off the metric nut on the gearbox side and slipped on a standard fitting, then double flared it.

Then i grabbed the mid 70's T-fitting and made up a line for my steering gearbox return. keep in mind when running your return you want the least amount of bends as possible, and you want your bends gradual.the more bends, the hotter the fluid gets. A Steering fluid cooler is another option you may consider. I decided not to run one at this time.

The finished product. I won't be able to try it out till the engine swap is done. Make sure to bleed your power steering!

Total cost: $35

great info and pictures.. Also just for some info the 87-91 blazer/ suburban gear boxes are metric threads so you can use the hoses from the newer model trucks with no mods if the length is right

So you ran your original master cylinder from your factory booster c10 c20 c30 ? It’s been working just fine like that. I have a c10 but I’m running the c20 booster thought it would better braking but not much.
