M1031 CUCV rollin again!
3 Attachment(s)
I'm usually in the 69-72 Blazer section, but can now finally report over here!
Bought this M1031 back in '09 at an auction for super cheap. Only had 15k miles with contact maintenance bed, pto generator & air compressor (welder already gone). This little pic is the only one I have the day we originally brought it home. Sold it to a friend shortly thereafter. It just sat at his shop for several years; he sold the bed off it. End of last year, with some swapping around we ended up getting it back! Very solid truck, only rust was cab corners, which we replaced and few dings here & there. Added the LWB bed. Had a few glowplug & wiring issues, as all these CUCVs do, but thanks to the help of Steel Soldiers we were able to work thru all that. Fabbed up a lift & crossover steering to fit the 37" Hummer takeoff tires. |

Re: M1031 CUCV rollin again!
That truck IS nice! I have the same bumper on my 1981 shortbed stepside, but in order to install it I had to remove the tow ring shackles from it since the brackets that held them in place hit my frame ends.

How much lift did you have to put on the truck to clear the 37" tires?
