I bought my stuff from them and got a roller from Lowes and as i sprayed it rolled it smooth, seems to be holding up through all this heat we have had here lately so i must have done something right

I didn't think about a roller? man that may have made it easier to spread the glue. and dang! it is hot!;)

Update: Got the new OEM grade molding installed last night (pics later). Also, got a new windshield installed today. Great guy does it dealer wholesale prices to the public. He gave me a group rate for this truck and my burb for $230 installed. I can give his number if anyone in OK area wants info. Highly recommended pro job and I didn't have to chance breaking one! Here are the pics:

Still need to get the new chrome trim gasket insert:

Yes,
$100 for the 86 and $130 for the burb. Not sure what the going rate on the burb is but he had one on his truck. So, he said he would do it for $130. Here is his contact info:
His name is Cash (didn't get his last name) Based out of Tulsa but has a house in OKC too. 918-829-2274. Just tell him Mike from east of Shawnee sent you.

BTW,
I picked up a new to me black insert not chrome from Pull a part yesterday. It looks really good. Went looking for a dash again,No luck. about to give up. Tried the fiberglass thing and it's just not working.

Thanks Heath! We installed a new evaporator last night and evacuated the a/c system again. It seems to have fixed the problem. It is blowing cold air now. In fact my son Landen is on his maiden solo voyage to the golf course in it this morning!

Jojoman,
thanks for the comments! I may be a first timer to TBI install, but I can assure working on trucks is nothing new to me. I did my first frame off in 1990 on my 77 stepper. I have painted a bunch of them too. It has been a long time in between though. My last truck restore was a 67 step back in around 1999.

As far as the a/c lines go, I actually used the same lines that were on the 92 Buick. they fit perfect. I used all new o-rings and washer type gaskets.

Yep, he has driven to school for a week now. No major issues yet, did have the oil sending unit start leaking. Got that replaced. Still need to get the speedo working. He is still using the GPS.

Re: 86 Silverado Father and Son project

Well we got in a decent road trip to the city today around 60 miles round trip. The truck drove great up to around 77 on GPS (still need speedo). It has a slight vibration, maybe the drive shaft? not sure? It needs to be aligned too, pulls pretty hard to the right. Not that he's going to be driving that fast and let me make it clear it was my heavy foot test driving it.

here are some pics of the road trip to the golf course (truck needs a bath bad, Landen drove to inlaws on a dirt road dang it).

It's been a long year but, it seems like it flew by. Here is what the truck looked like a little less than a year ago when we brought it home.
