1978 K30 Gauge issues-HELP HELP HELP

I'm at a loss on where to look. none of the gauges or lights in the dash are working. It's only when i lift the turn signal to the right that both turn signal indicators and the blue light indicators for the hi beams start flashing like my hazard are on.......
The ground off of the wiring harness inside the cab is connected to the BUSS Ground connector...like i said, i don't know where to look next.

Anyone been in the same situation? what or where should i try next?

Thanks

What is the condition of you circuit board on the backside of you gauge cluster? Mine is messed up and seems to be causing a similar short there. I am in the process of replacing that circuit board now.

well see i've tried 4 different gauge packs, and all with similar results, but that is going to be my next try.

Are all of the black ground wires solidly connected back to the buss bar?

The Ground and power wires have splices in the harness about 6-8" from the cluster plug. These can loosen up.

Printed circuit issues would cause this as well.
Do your gauges work?

ground is good to the Buss Bar, gauges do not work. when i roll the head light switch like i'm going to turn the dome light on, the gauges (oil pressure, volts/amp) start swing every which direction, but the background lights to the gauges kind of work (off and on)

That sounds like a bad ground.

My S10 did this XACT same thing! Ground strip that grounded the gauge pod at the pod plug was open.

Bad ground at the Buss Bar was the problem. Now i just need to figure why the fuel gauge isn't working. Stuck on "E" even switching tanks....

A dead shorted sender wire between the valve and the cluster plug would do that.
