Been working on the drivers side b-pillar. Even though the idea of using Bear-Claws is being tossed around (for 1-pc glass clearance) I am still fabbing a left striker plate. there is also an extra inner wall going in because there is a structure on the other side that I can't duplicate.

Coming soon! I need to post pictures of what I have done. It would be a lot easier if I knew how to upload pictures straight from my phone to the thread! I have a droid. Looks like Monday we are getting the full length inner rockers made... and seeing about the outers. I started on the new dash too.

Thank you! Did you gift wrap a SBDD for me?

I did a little more with the b-pillar after the kids went to sleep. I have a little more to do behind the strike plate still. The inner support for the hinges is built. It just needs to be welded in, and then I can start on the outer skin for the B-pillar. I need to pull it off so I can take a picture of the inner support.

I have also been messing around trying to get the upper portion of the door frames straight. I finally just cut a relief in what is left of the roof skin on both sides. Now I can pull them out to where I want them to be.

Sorry about the pictures. I just looked at my phone and realized the lens is filthy. Guess that comes with being a mechanic in the desert!

Full length inner rockers ordered. We are going to hotrod the outers.

Probably wont do any work to the cab this week. I have to do a timing belt on the Sequoia.

Back at it today, but with only 3 hours we only got a few things done. It is really nice being able to get both families together.

1. We fixed the air leak on my brothers air compressor (no pictures of that)

2. We troubleshot the AC and blower noise in the funding truck.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-K...0/IMG_0353.JPG

3. We removed the front clip from the donor chassis

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-N...151708_379.jpg

4. We convertibled the one of the donor cabs.

This is something new. Both of the brake mounting brackets are broken right here. I work on a fleet of Chevy's with the 11.5 AAM and a few Dodges, and I have never seen this before.

Does anyone else get blisters from drilling spot welds! I got the passenger side rear door frame mocked up last night. I didn't take any pictures because I was on a roll. I will have some tonight.

I used to get blisters then I got a plasma cutter. faster and less painful.

I have never used a plasma cutter to cut spot welds... but I also drill a pilot hole to start a plasma cutter in a cut. How do you do that?

It was just what I was shown the first time I used one. If not you can damage the electrode. I can't take credit for it.

Yea, I have messed up the electrode before. Now Miller has this little cap thing that goes over the tip, and it has the perfect amount of spacing, so all you have to do is drag the gun across the work area and it cuts perfect. I need to get one of those
