New experience.. going from '88-'98 to '99 - '06

I am going to miss my '88 GMC C2500 SLE.....
I bought it in 1990, Newport Beach, California, ..used with 10,000 miles on it.

I drove it for 381,000 miles! During warranty period ( inc, extended 70,000 warranty).... And GM screwed me over on factory defects during warranty.
So, it was up to me to maintain it. The truck grew on me, and I enjoyed it.

THANKS FOR THIS FORUM, to help me learn about the truck!! So, I thought I'd share the stuff I did with it, and sold $$$ it for a fair price. The paint was the only thing showing the age, because I wasn't going to ruin the truck with a cheap re-paint.
My for sale ad shows the truck's history, and it was sold to a guy in Germany, who loves this year model GMC, as a classic !!
( The new owner will send me pictures of it in Germany)
I HAVE A '88-'98 FORUM PARTING GIFT.... Anyone who has a front bumper, that needs the rubber Bumper Stops, I bought a pair, but I thought the old license plate holes would fit the bolt holes, but they don't... so, anyone that has a need for them, ( brand new), send me a PM and I'll just mail them to you!! ( You need the needed holes for it to bolt up)

I am buying a pristine, dealer maintained, garage kept, 2005 Yukon XL 4WD... Graphite color w/ all the Denali options.

Here's my ad for the truck, w/ pics.....
In a second post....

Congrats to you! Hopefully it continues to be taken care of just as good as you did. Good luck with the newer model Yukon.

You hang with a neat crowd mountie! My closest claim to that would be a guy we used to call Goodtime Charlie many years ago. He put a 429 in an old torino that sat to high in the engine bay and cut a hole in the hood, welded an old refrigerator crisper on it upside down, then claimed it was a hood scoop. I used to get the biggest kick out of seeing that thing on the road.::haha:

The new ride looks great too btw!

Yea.... I was fortunate..... To hang with racers in Kalifornia....

( Have you seen the movie " Snake & Mongoo$e " ??)

And I dabbled in Unlimited Racing w/ Aronow.

Fun stuff - hard work - cause I didn't do drugs.
