Another headliner idea
2 Attachment(s)
I was at a truck show a couple weeks ago and saw this idea for the headliner. The owner said he'd had the original board covered with thin foam and then the fabric. The real interesting part, though, was the bows. They were from a full-size Dodge van, either late 80's or late 90's vintage (it wasn't clear which) and the owner noted the length fit fine, as did the end caps, without mods. They snapped in to the original rails. With repro bows for the burbs non-existent, looks like this might be an option. The installation looked clean, modern, and factory. Haven't had a chance to see if the bows would be available new from Dodge - if anyone finds out, please post!

That does look great! I would really like to know what year dodge van the bows are from also.

Re: Another headliner idea
I'm interested as well.
I have no problem redoing mine, since I am not 100 percent happy with what I did. I would have preferred to use my original bows, just couldn't get the snap on trim... |
Re: Another headliner idea
would like to know what the bows came from too!

Re: Another headliner idea
bump. Did anyone figure out the model these bows came out of?

Re: Another headliner idea
I found the part number for the moulding, 5GC83TL2AG, but it looks like it has been discontinued....:(.

That is a bummer. I have all three bows and all three are cracked and missing chunks. I've been curious to hear what you end up with...

Re: Another headliner idea
I've talked to a company about reproducing the plastic headliner bows. Will let everyone know what I find out.
