Took my seat and floor mat out and noticed this glue on the back of the cab . Is this the location for the the no spin/positrac sticker location, and if so was it glued around the edge like this or was it a solid adhesive like a sticker?

Looks like it is, the decal looks paper and o be glued around the edges on yours.

This is a parts truck, the rear wheels are frozen from the brakes, looks like I need to pull the cover and check for posi or limited slip. What did these trucks have? I am just familiar with the later 12 bolt posi units

They are glued on just like the marks on your truck. These same paper posi ID papers were used on the cars of these years and I have several photos of Impalas with the same glue marks

Sweet! I can't wait to pull the cover and see what is hiding in there.... That $250.00 buy just keeps getting better!

Thanks for the info, I was pretty sure that was wht the glue meant

Here is a pic of the one I got from a 62. Its a steel plate held on w/4 Philips head screws. I believe the 60-63 were steel plates and not stickers. I think they went to stickers in 64. Im not sure though, just know that when I see a 60-63 down here and it has a posi it has the steel plate and the newer models I see have stickers. Maybe plant by plant change?

This is from my blue 1960 1/2 ton. Different location same paper tag. These paper tags were dated late 1958 and they didn't change the date up though the 60s and possibly early 70s.

Heres the plate from the pic in post #8. 1962 c-20 is what I got from the owner of the truck on the chasis id. I thought the plate was steel at 1st, but upon closer inspection it is aluminum.

I purchased a NOS 17 spline posi for my 63 and planned on putting it on the cab for the posi designation.

Its stamped K S10 and the whole image is lightly engraved and painted.
