Windshield Header Weld Nut Replacement Options

Do any of you have any experience or thoughts on how to replace the weld nuts inside the windshield header? All but one of mine have broken off. I found some ancient forum post somewhere where someone referred to "clip in" replacements but I have no idea what they're referring to.

Somewhere there is a post that shows these metal plugs/anchor/shield
that go into the hole and expand when the bolt goes in I think the post was BobbyK or something similar. Others have cut out small squares made patches with new nuts welded to the metal then welded in the frame

Metal is in great shape. One hole is a little distorted, but that can easily be fixed. I definitely think the Rivet Nut (aka Rivnut) is my answer. The tool + mandrel + rivet sets aren't terribly expensive either.

Thanks!
