Radiator, 4-core for 1969 c-20

I am looking for a new radiator for my 1969 C-20, 350, Automatic Trans.
I am having a hard time find a direct replacement 4 Core Radiator. It seems like everybody at the local shops only have 2 core radiators.
Is there a difference between the 1969 Chevys to the 1972 Chevys radiators?
I was wondering about this..... https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-384018
What has everybody else used in the 4 Core Radiator department?

Most old school 4-core radiators are not being produced and the 2-row is usually aluminum and plastic.

same dilemma

The old Modine replacement part number is/was a 369

Ditto on not finding an original one. The local shop said they wouldn't even recore them. Some shops -probably in the larger cities -will recore with copper but the cost is prohibitive for most of us.

I was also told by the shop owner here that the new aluminum two core with their new design, is equivalent to the old 4 core.

FYI: In the OSC catalog they say that this is a "4 row equivalent."
It may be a two core new design aluminum or maybe a three core.

I was thinking I really need to get a 4 core radiator. But after reading some reviews the 2 core aluminum works just as well if not better than the 4 core Brass and Copper radiators.

Might be worth calling Bill at Vintage Chevy Trucks in Fremont to see if he has that radiator. http://www.vintagechevytrucks.com/

So, after debating what to purchase I went with a safe purchase at O'Reily's with a warranty available at many places. It is aluminum with plastic tanks. I really don't like the sound of that. But it has two 1" cores. I also just purchased some new radiator support pad cushions from Classic Industries that should be here in two days. If it was a show truck it definitely be all aluminum.

Let us know how the radiator works out. I'd also hold on to the old one if you can. Never know when you might get some extra cash and want to have it re-cored.

2 big cores actually cools better than 4 small cores. We kept fighting cooling issues in our desert racer and had a radiator guy make the recommendation to move to the 2 large core setup and the cooling issues went away. I have one of the plastic/aluminum 2-core in my 87 R30 and it has no problems with my 454 towing with the A/C on in the middle of an Arizona summer.

That's what my radiator shop guy told me some years back. Good to know from personal experience -especially in Arizona summers.
