What does this mean?

I was reading an article where a guy nosed the hood on his 49 chevy truck. What does this mean? Does anyone have any pictures of this mod? Do you do this mod to proportion the hood to the top that usually has been chopped?
Thanx in advance!

Nosed could be a local term for apancaked hood. You take a pie shaped slice out of each side of the hood to bring the nose lower to the fenders. This ford has a pancaked hood

I understood "Nosed" to mean the emblem or ornament is shaved.

That make better sense than pancaked

Houston 54 is right. "Nosed" refers to the hood being shaved of the front emblem. The opposite is a "decked" meaning emblems shaved from the trunk or rear end.

Thank you everyone.

It's hard to get right though as the stamped circles around the holes in the hood are raised and have to be worked down level with the rest of the hood so that they don't show through the paint. It also creates a lot of blank space on the front of the hood that makes the hood look really tall with some color choices.
