Trailing arm e brake bracket line removal?

I have the whole rear end off the truck and want to replace the trailing arm bushings. Also taking the rear end out to clean and paint. How does the e brake line come out of the bracket on the trailing arm. The cotter pin comes out but the gap is smaller then the brake line fitting? It's a lwb step with rear drum brakes. Thanks for any help:)

Are you talking about the E-brake cables? They get tapped back and the cable will fit through the slot in the bracket. I have seen a couple that over the years the bracket has been closed up a little and I had to take a screw driver and pry them open just a bit.

Yes to e-brake cable removal from bracket it trailing arm. So i need to disconnect the cable upstream and pull it back to get the cable through the opening:) Thanks that makes sense since the e-brake connector was to big to pull through.
