I swear I searched... tko-600 content
So the TKO showed up. I hit a wierd spot where I have no other running vehicle so.... to install this on my stock bellhousing I need the adapter ring to adapt to the larger truck opening, and a 26spline clutch and hte front half of the driveshaft shortened appropriately.
other than changing holes in the tunnel what am I missing? 78 C10 2wd stepside with the SM465. |

you may need to modify your trans crossmember, or move it rearward too.
also need a longer speedo cable. |

I've had mine in the box since Spring 2016 but we have test fitted and have done a few things. We are going to modify my cross member but other than that I think we have everything figured out. We have it mated up to the original bellhousing off my 3 speed saginaw, and we do have the ring that goes around the opening.
First of all, we ditched the speedo cable. This wasn't intentional but just how it turned out, and ordered one of these. https://www.amazon.com/BILLET-ALUMIN.../dp/B013ZTGU2E We had previously installed a HM290 transmission and had all kinds of slave cylinder issues so we got parts from a site called novak, and we are going to run their external slave cylinder to make it easier to get to. I think this is also where we got that ring you were talking about. Pretty cool stuff there, it's to put chevy stuff on Jeeps. With the HM290 we needed a hydraulic clutch so I had already converted my truck to it with mid 80's pedal assembly and an plate with a reservoir off of the brake booster. The stock shifting location was really far back, it's probably fine where it is but it put it touching the bench seat when in 2nd and 4th gear, so we got a mid-shift kit from ddperformance. I think we talked to someone named Don, he emailed us instructions as well and was a great help. http://www.ddperformance.com/tc15m-500-600-midshiftkit/ The only problem with the mid-shift location is that now instead of being on the seat it wants to smack the dash, but that's only because of my shift arm.. which I have yet to find one that is long enough and the right shape. I could use some help there. https://i.imgur.com/VKrzcQ5.jpg https://i.imgur.com/PLgLybR.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Vd7rqKG.jpg?1 https://i.imgur.com/F1cbK6A.jpg?1 |

Hunter- I just installed an NV4500 in a 79 with a short throw shifter. Shifter location is very close to yours. I run a hurst 3910122 handle. Nowhere near seat and close but does not hit dash

Looks like that shifter could be straight and a bit shorter as well.
