Looking for brands/paint codes to duplicate the original light grey/dark grey color combo on the dash and interior. Getting pretty close to painting the inside of cab. Any pics would be great of original and what you repainted with. Here is mine when i got it. I believe this to be original on the dash. Thanks chizzler

Many paint suppliers can MAKE a rattle can for you, in whatever colour you want.

Hello, I'm new here and have a question concerning the paint codes posted here. I tried to get paint mixed by these codes and was told the no.s didn't cross to anything they could find. This store handles PPG paint, I believe. Has anyone here been able to use these codes? If so, what retailer was able to do it? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: 1961 interior paint color

These are numbers I tucked away in previous searches. I haven't had anything mixed up yet.

Interior - silver gray
DUCO MM313
DuPont 94162
Diamont WA7134

Dash top - charcoal gray
DUCO 73605
DuPont DS 174

Thanks, I'll see what I can do with those, but it seems as though the laquer no's. haven't been matched with more modern paints. At this point, I would use any type of paint though. I haven't checked on the Diamont no., maybe it will be good. Thanks

I did mine. Look at posts 124 & 125 in my build thread:

Here is an original Dupont color chart showing the interior paint codes. My local PPG dealer had no trouble crossing them, and they matched perfectly.

Call ppg or other paint supplier and tell them your guy cant find the mix. Didnt take them long to get formula once corporate got involved.

I think my parts guy has been checking with Auto color library. I'll see if he'll try the company or I'll find another paint store. Thanks for now.

Go to TCP Global. I look up 73605 and 94162 and they came up in their classic data base. ck them out. Bought all my paint from them for my tk.

Re: 1961 interior paint color

I might have to try the TCP option. I took the previously posted nos. to my PPG dealer who called them in to the company and only came up with a closest match for the charcoal in enamel. Another option is to get closest matches at a local body shop by way of their picture analysis equipment. I had them do it on the silver, but I wasn't really sold on the results. Again, thanks for all of the input!
