Dyeing houndstooth interior
I have some yellow houndstooth interior for a 72 blazer and its not going to work in my build because I need orange. Has anyone had any luck dyeing a new houndstooth replacement seat cover or does anyone have any advice of does and donts,I've never.,

Re: Dyeing houndstooth interior
IME I have not had good luck dyeing patterned fabrics. Depending on how the orange dye (is it available?) takes in the fabric, the yellow may make the color very different than expected and the even the black may be affected. Unless you are willing to invest the time and money for the products needed and also willing to scrap the original part, I would not attempt it. Others may have methods.

I can't see it coming out well. Plaid is made by combining pre-dyed thread. You dye it as a batch and the orange will tint everything. There is white in the plaid. not if you dye

I would highly recommend NOT doing that. That will not turn out well at all, and in soooo many ways.
