Love the progress so far, looks like you have plenty of room in the shop! I hadn't heard of KBS before, but am wanting to blast and paint my control arms/sway bar/spindles when I do my drop. What did you think of the KBS?

I liked it sprayed on. I have a friend who brushed it and it still looks good. just make sure to sand very well between the sealer coat and the top coat.

I haven't been able to do much since the frame is at the blaster and it was below 8 degrees here for 3 or 4 days. But I have set out some parts ,got in some new parts and started disassembling the bed to go the blaster. Can't wait to get the frame back to get started again.

Funny you should ask, The color is 2011 Rimini Red. It was very close to the color I was going to paint this truck, I had planned it for years. The one day last summer my wife shows me that car and said she wanted it. Well now I'm thinking of new colors for my truck, ha ha. So I'm going with original color for 69 code 517 which is kinda close but way different also.

I'm usually not a fan of red on a vehicle. the only two cars that ive liked it on were the range rover and the Lincoln mkz.

:metal:couple of things!! first I like the approach you are taking with all the "easy to overlook" stuff. any of us can build a nice truck in short period of time. but it takes dedication to rip one down to the frame and spend the extra time and money to blast and coat everything. secondly, you have inspired me to move back to TN and spend every weekend in that humongous shop of yours. :metal::metal:
