1972 level rear with blocks or drop coils?

Have a stock 72 Cheyenne Super Short bed with stock suspension. Wanting to level the rear by lowering no more than 2". Truck has trailing arms. Not leaf springs. Is the best method drop coils or lowering blocks?
Thanks!

Greg,

The problem I have with drop coils is you never know what the results will be. I have installed drop coils before to a stock vehicle, and it actually raised the vehicle. I've also installed drop coils and it lowered too much.

If I stay with my baseline current coils, will the blocks give me an exact 1:1 drop?

Will installing the blocks result in compressing my current coil more?

I've trimmed plenty of front coils to get desired drop, but don't think I should trim the rear coils due to the way they are wound on the ends??

I really don't care for lowering blocks based on the additional leverage that the axle rotating force puts on the u-bolts...also using blocks puts your trailing arms closer to the ground so dragging them is more of a issue..
yeah you cant cut those style springs...
may be hit and miss on drop springs but if you buy from someone like summit they have extremely good customer service

Follow-up Results: I installed 1 1/2" blocks under the trailing arms with longer U-bolts and the look is perfect and rides good.
