NP205 Speedo Gear Housing Sleeve "has been discontinued" - where to buy?
 

Searching for a NP205 speedometer gear housing, have followed all the links in older threads but they're dead ends. Summit, CPP, LMC, Classic Industries, Rock Auto, NAPA do not carry them... GM Parts Direct says "326561 has been discontinued and it is no longer available from GM." Every google link for 326561 is sold out or unavailable. Anyone have a source? I need new w/ seals... :crazy:

Greg drives a square Sub 4wd. Great guy and will tell you straight up if he has the part or not or if he can even get it.

I know this is an old thread but I have been searching for the sleeve mentioned in the OP; ACDelco 326561. I can't believe this thing is so elusive with so many people that have this leak. If anyone knows a current supplier please post. I tr ordered a 16x10x4 seal but have not been able to get it seated into the groove, thinking about just sizing up some orings and installing.....

Irish, are you saying you can find the whole sleeve or just the oring? I would really appreciate any help. Everywhere says the sleeve is discontinued.

Yep the sleeve but Im sure I can dig up the seal too. Just need to look it up.

Irish, I'm outside of San Antonio Tx. thanks for the help with this I'm hoping you have the magic. I guess I can start looking at some transmission shops after Christmas to see where they get them. Do you know if I buy a re-build kit for a NP 205 if those seals are included? I guess I can just go through the whole thing...Merry Christmas.

try nogalitos gear here in town. the np205 gasket kits dont come with it.
Then if nogalitos doesnt have it transtar might. talk to Lawrence preferably.

I bought one from napa a couple mouths ago. They had to get it from another napa. just ask for the ac delco number.

Torque king makes a reproduction, but its pricey ($60ish). They will also sell the seal to replace in yours ($8.50), and sometimes have used sleeves with the new seal installed for like $30.00 https://torqueking.com/product/30091...peedo-adapter/

Just for reference and update purposes. I just called, yes actually talked to someone on the phone there at https://torqueking.com/ and ordered the pt QU30091 Speedometer Drive Adapter Nut with seal installed. They had it in stock. Pricey yes maybe but I'm glad someone is making them since AC Delco stopped.

Just to update..... the part is still available from Torque king. It fits perfectly and stops the drip from the speedo cable. $55 out the door with free shipping. I ordered the seal from another place and hope to instal it in the old one for a backup if needed.

what size socket to get the sleeve out of the Transfer case? I'm guessing 1-1/8"?

Yup, 12 point if you got it. A 6 point is usually too thick to sit square on it unless you have it in a chrome socket and not an impact
