Last Burb

I bought this 68 Burb to keep it from being parted out. I need this like I need a hole in the head.
I thought it was a 67, but it is in fact a 68. |

Re: Last Burb
I'd keep it, and build it!
1968 was a low production year for 4x4 Suburbans. It's actually a really solid looking K10 burb from what the pictures show. Can you take some photo's of the engine compartment for me? |

If it has any of the rear seats, can you take some pics of them for me as well?

Re: Last Burb
Trade it to Chris for his 1970 SWB K-10 pick up, then he could have a before and after set.
(I know his is a K-20, but still.) |

WOW ! You work fast, too ! But where did the buddy buckets go?
Really, just what it could look like - for inspiration :uhmk:(Not mine) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1968-...item2c6a03ce5b |
Re: Last Burb
That burb comes up for sale every year.
(I use to live in the town that this burb is in, and I have a sneaking suspicion as to who worked on it). BTW. for those of you thinking about the fabric headliner that is being sold by vendors, take a look at the second video and you will see one in there. No offense to the owner of this burb, but that is the whole reason why I didn't put one in. |

Re: Last Burb
Thanks for the pictures.
I'm curious about the seat pattern, since I am considering an all vinyl seat cover for my burb. Can you take pictures of the seat with a tape measure on the middle section, this would be used as a guide for an upholsterer to make me a similar cover. The pleated area. PM me if you want to just email them to me, rather than clutter up this thread. Thanks! |
Re: Last Burb
Also, I see that it has the fuel filter option on the spid.
If I am correct, there should be the heavy duty style frame mount fuel filter on the passenger side? Can you verify that, and if there is one there I would love a photo of it. (I love these kinds of trucks, ones that haven't been messed with or restored). |

I'll check on Monday. I think I'm leaving this one unrestored. It is really beat up. I believe this was a county water truck. On the rear windows there is the water logo and you can still find the old decals on the floor. Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: Last Burb
If I had it, it looks like it would be more fun to leave it as is.
Though I would of course freshen up the drive train and brakes, but these 4x4 burbs are a blast when they are like this when set up to be reliable. |
Re: Last Burb
Change your mind? I noticed it on Ebay
